The following is a sample menu for people with diabetes. Note that this is only an example and is not intended for actual use. Please read:

Breakfast – 6 AM

  • 1 sm. orange
  • 1 whole English muffin
  • 1-2 oz. of low-fat cheese, ham, or turkey
  • 1 tbsp. of low-fat margarine
  • Coffee or tea or water

Total Carbohydrates: 45 grams

 

Snack – 9:00 AM

  • 8 oz. of low-fat or nonfat milk
