There are many claims that water treatment for diabetes will not only manage the disease but cure it. There is nothing new about water treatment. For diabetes, there are a couple of different protocols people swear by. While nobody will dispute that lack of proper water intake is a problem for many, any claims that a water treatment for diabetes will actually cure the disease should be looked into a little further. And certainly, nobody should abandon any prescribed medications or insulin in the hope that any single water protocol will rid the body of diabetes. But in combination with other natural or alternative medicine practices, it may be helpful. Let’s take a look at some of the protocols that claim a cure.

Water Treatment for Diabetes Protocol Using Salt

In this protocol, the goal of your water intake is to drink one ounce of water for every pound of body weight. The water is to be the “purest spring water” you can get. This water treatment for diabetes calls for the amount of water as calculated above should be consumed in 6 minutes maximum, and you should be able to hold it without urinating for between two to three hours. If you can’t do this currently, the treatment suggests you work your way up to this gradually until you can. It isn’t recommended for people with kidney disease or for young children.

Salt is to be consumed at about 1/8 teaspoon for every 16 ounces of water. If swelling occurs anywhere, the salt is to be stopped for three days and then try to work up to it again. Because the diuretic effect of the water may cause some minerals to be flushed from the body in the urine, it is suggested to take a multi-vitamin with each meal, three times daily. How you consume the salt is up to you. There is no scientific studies to back up this method or to prove that this water treatment for diabetes actually does what it claims – that is to cure diabetes. It should be noted that there are books available to explain why this works, but to sum it up, there seems to be no evidence to actually back up the claim other than that has been effectively for hundreds of years, particularly in Asia and India. This article is not recommending the treatment, but the protocol is detailed by a Dr. F. Batmanghelidg in a book titled “Your body’s many cries for Water”. You ca do any additional research there

Water Treatment for Diabetes Protocol with Lemon

Again, this water treatment protocol is only passed on as information and should not be taken as a recommendation. But this water treatment for diabetes only claims to significantly lower blood sugar levels. And who knows? It just may. There seems to be no harm in trying this as long as you don’t have adverse reactions to citric acid. The routine goes like this:

  • The patient goes on a lemon juice fast for a several days where a large glass of purified water is mixed with the juice from a quarter of a lemon. No other food is taken during this several day fast, but the lemon water is drank 10 to 12 times a day.
  • It is supplemented with a glass of water first thing in the morning mixed with a tablespoon of Epsom salt and crushed garlic, followed in an hour with acidophilus culture mixed in with your first large glass of water and lemon juice. This is to facilitate intestinal sanitation.

It is believed by those that follow this water treatment for diabetes that citric acid combines with fatty acid to produce energy for the body. The late Dr. Carey Reams developed this protocol and claims to have cured thousands of people from diabetes of both types in three weeks or less of this water/lemon routine followed by a three week allergy tested diet.

Alternative medicine has helped untold thousand to manage, and yes even cure, diabetes. While water is a natural compliment to almost any holistic healing treatment, one should be skeptical of any water treatment for diabetes that makes cure claims by the use of water and lemon or salt alone. This information is presented as information only.

You are right to be skeptical, but please don’t hesitate to use more mainstream and researched natural or holistic approached to treating diabetes without having to use drugs. There are many legitimate resources available with a little detective work on your part.
